什么时候interview比较好?

大家一起interview呢,还是通过视频interview?然后大家看视频。

Position Description

Call for Applications

Editors of ASIANetwork Exchange

ASIANetwork seeks an Editor or team of Editors from ASIANetwork member institutions to direct publication of ASIANetwork Exchange: A Journal for Asian Studies in the Liberal Arts, the official scholarly journal of ASIANetwork.  AN Exchange uses a double-blind peer review process resulting in a competitive acceptance rate. Applicants for the editorship position may apply individually or as a team of two with different disciplinary and regional specialties.

AN Exchange serves the unique needs of undergraduate education, with articles designed for both specialists and non-specialists. The journal publishes original research and reviews in order to assist teachers in their own professional development, and it strives to make research and pedagogy about Asia accessible to a broader audience of faculty and students. AN Exchange provides a forum for the publication of current research that falls into the following four categories: discovery (disciplinary research), application (applying scholarship to address societal issues of concern), integration (interdisciplinary collaboration), and teaching (pedagogical innovation).

The editors will oversee and produce at least two issues of the journal each year through its online management and production system. The term of the editors is three years with the possibility of extension. Duties include soliciting individual articles and guest edited sections; engaging the services of support staff, including our contract with the Open Library of the Humanities (OLH) for our publication platform; maintaining an Advisory Board and Editorial Board; and preparing and maintaining a journal budget and production calendar, the online submission system, and print and online publication options for members.

ASIANetwork will begin reviewing applications January 2, 2025, and will accept  submissions until the position(s) is filled. Applicants must be from ASIANetwork member institutions. Please submit name(s), cover letter (including interest and relevant experience), and CV to Dr. Qin Fang, Search Committee Chair at qfang@mcdaniel.edu, with the subject heading “AN Exchange Editor Application.”  The search committee will conduct online interviews early in 2025. New editor(s) will officially begin as early as March 2025, working with the current editors in a transition phase.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your prompt replies and flexibility. It seems that 11:00 AM–12:00 PM works for everyone.

Dennis, would 10-11:00 work for you? We can move to 10:00-11:00 am on Jan 16 since that is also a time slot works for everyone. If that does not work, we can stick with 11:00-12:00pm. Let us know!

Dan, could you please set up a Zoom meeting for January 16? We use Teams at McDaniel, and I am concerned that not everyone would be able to join via Teams.

Best

Qin

Dear All

As of January 2, 2025, we have received three applications for the editor position of the AN Journal of Exchange. After reading them over, here is our findings: one application, submitted by Dr. Fasan, is from a non-ASIANetwork member and is therefore ineligible. The other two applications, from Mimi Yang and Taku Suzuki, meet the eligibility criteria.

Here is the link to the application documents.
